Copa America 2016 Conmebol announced new rules for the tournament
The Copa America Centenario not only be a special edition of the tournament world's oldest selections. also it means the starting point for new rules in football.
Through its official website, CONMEBOL announced four changes in the rules authorized by the Jury of the International Football Association (IFAB), same to be applied from June 1 and will govern in the Copa America Centenario.
The criterion of sanctions in gross scoring plays will be different and now the player who commits a fault but looking to fight the ball, as previously this was punishable by expulsion cautioned.
However, when the player in question go with excessive force or do not fight the ball, when you push or hold or when the opponent commits any offense that warrants a red card, it will be applied as before.
Another rule will be to allow up to four changes in overtime and although this measure is experimental, CONMEBOL decided to apply for the continental competition.
